WHAT’S IN YOUR HAND?
Whenever the topic of reading someone comes up one of the questions I am asked most often is, “What do you see when you read someone’s palm?” It is a great question, and one that invites people to pause and wonder about the quiet wisdom carried in their own hands. Many assume that palmistry is simply about assigning fixed meanings to certain lines, as though the hand can be read like a legend on a map. But that’s not how I experience it, and it’s not how I practice it. For me, palm reading begins in stillness. It is a gentle unfolding, a way of listening beyond the surface to what the hand is ready to reveal. Each palm carries its own rhythm, its own story, and its own truth, and I approach that story with calm, care, and deep respect.
For me, palmistry is a modality—a gateway into a deeper reading. It is a tool that helps me tune in to a person’s story and sense what has shaped them, what they are moving through in the present, and what possibilities may be unfolding ahead. Rather than relying on rigid definitions, I read the hand as a whole, allowing it to reveal patterns, energy, and insight in a way that is far more personal and intuitive.
In that sense, the palm is not simply a collection of lines to be decoded. It is a living reflection of someone’s experiences, choices, strengths, and direction. When I read a palm, I am not just interpreting markings—I am opening a pathway to understanding, guidance, and connection.
For example, some traditional interpretations suggest that features such as the mounts—the raised areas of the palm—reveal where a person’s natural strengths are meant to express themselves. The shape of the hand is also often said to reflect the elemental energy a person leads with and the way that energy moves through their life.
That framework may resonate with some readers, but it is not the way I work. My readings do not come from memorizing meanings or matching lines to predetermined definitions. Instead, I focus on the visions and impressions that arise as I look at the palm. I am not reading what the hand is supposed to say—I am reading what it is actually showing me in that moment.
And another thing, I always ask to see the non-dominant hand when I begin a reading. Traditionally, the dominant hand is believed to reflect your present life, conscious choices, and the way you actively shape your path, while the non-dominant hand is said to reveal your inborn nature, subconscious patterns, and deeper spiritual influences. In my experience, the dominant hand often carries the energy of protection because it is the stronger, more guarded hand. The non-dominant hand, however, feels more open. It allows the guard to drop, making it easier for a deeper and more honest reading to come through.
Before I read a palm, I take time to prepare myself, the person receiving the reading, and Spirit. As I often say, all three must be in harmony for a true connection to take place. A reading is not something I simply perform; it is something I enter with intention, openness, and respect. When that alignment is present, the messages come through more clearly and the experience becomes more meaningful for everyone involved.
Your hands are ready to tell their story, and that story deserves to be heard with care, compassion, and understanding. Whatever they reveal, they are not here to judge you—they are here to guide you, affirm you, and gently illuminate the path before you. I am simply here to help you listen, to hold space for what comes forward, and to offer insight with honesty, warmth, and respect.
When you receive a reading, it is yours to carry, reflect on, and honour. It may speak to the path you are on in that moment, but it is never something fixed or final. Life is always in motion, and as your choices shift, so too can the direction before you. The guidance revealed in a reading can change with your decisions, with your willingness to grow, and with the alignment of the universe and Spirit as they continue to move with you.
What is written in your hands is not there to frighten you—it is there to awaken you. It speaks of where you have been, who you are becoming, and the deeper truth waiting to be recognized within you. Sometimes the greatest gift of a reading is not prediction, but remembrance: the quiet, powerful return to your own inner knowing, your own strength, and the path that has been yours all along.
So, at the end of the day, what is in your hands? More than lines, markings, or shapes, your hands hold the story of where you have been, the choices you have made, the lessons you have carried, and the possibilities still waiting to unfold. They hold your resilience, your growth, your dreams, and the quiet wisdom that has been with you all along. To look into your hands is to look into a living reflection of your journey—one that continues to change, deepen, and guide you with every step you take.
So if you ever find yourself wondering what your hands may be trying to tell you the answers are not always outside of you. Sometimes they are already within you, waiting for the right moment to be seen, felt, and understood.
Until next time, stay open, stay curious, and trust what you feel.
